BIOGRAPHY

Watercolourist

My childhood as a Quebec Anglo-Indian, following my father on many long hikes, is surely what awakened me to the wonders of nature and folk tales. As I listened blissfully to him telling stories and legends, beautiful pictures would come to mind and it would be my joy to put them down on paper.

Nowadays I live in Switzerland with my husband and our two daughters and it is here that I completed training in art therapy and currently give watercolour workshops in Care Centres. I also joined up with a comic book group called ‘Splotch!’, and participated in a collective exhibition in Morges. At the moment I have several personal projects underway in illustration of fairy tales as well as making a small comic book.

My heartfelt thanks go to the Re-Visionary Art Collective for this wonderful opportunity and for this lovely association with such high and admirable ideals that I’m so happy to belong to!

Artistic approach

I mainly paint in watercolour, although I also very much enjoy going over spots with Indian ink and letting the pictures gradually take shape through the movement of the water.

I take my inspiration from various folk and fairy tales, poems, and other reading that especially touches me.
