BIOGRAPHY

For the whole forty years of my career as a teacher, I thoroughly enjoyed my work. Being with children or with teenagers in difficult situations and watching them open up, grow, change, and develop trust enables me to understand others and myself ever better. At present I am happy to be retired and have time to spend with my grandchildren and on my favourite hobbies!

All my life I have been attracted by many different art forms…

For fifteen years I sang in a symphonic choir and also applied myself passionately to watercolour painting and clay modelling.

Being fascinated by theatre, I took courses in art drama, which touched on several aspects of theatre such as text, voice, masks, the clown, and improvisation.

Through this varied artistic itinerary and through various courses in personal development, I came to discover, to know, to recognize, and little by little to understand myself. Each new awareness enables one to come closer to her centre and gradually, day by day, to face her fears and wounds, accept herself, love herself better, find again her inner wholeness and let it blossom in all its splendor, revealing the divine and the sacredness that is there.

The first opportunity to exhibit my paintings came in 1999 and it was a powerful time of sharing and of gratitude. I’ve had several exhibitions in unusual and promising places since then.

In 2002 I decided to do workshops in painting through feeling. This brought on a great upheaval and provided just what was still missing in all I’d learned from my preceding experiences!

Since September 2004 I’ve been teaching levels 1, 2, and 3 of this painting through feeling to groups of four in my studio in Posieux, near Fribourg. The training I took was with Patricia Carron in Fully and with Joanne Moreau Poffet in Morlon.

Artistic approach

Painting through feeling allows us to go deep inside and heal our wounds in safety and in trust. With lightness and without judgement, simply recognizing who we are, we open up to that which is essential and also reconnect with invisible worlds.

In order to paint in this way, one first goes inside with the help of a short meditation and links up with the spiritual world. The three prior levels of training make this possible.

It’s an enormous gift to find meaning in one’s life and to discover one’s true place in daily life, while at the same time opening up to awareness of the spiritual world.

How marvellous it is, too, to learn that, even with no previous knowledge of drawing or painting, our creative mind can set itself in motion and produce wonders…
