BIOGRAPHY
Art came into my life as naturally as breathing, from childhood on. As a little girl I used to spend hours drawing and painting with my father. These sharing times with him developed a deep complicity between us and left a mark on my heart forever.
After Dad drew his last breath, when I was only twelve, painting became conspicuous by its absence. I had to let it go for several years, so overcome I was with sorrow every time I tried to paint.
In adolescence, life led me on a therapeutic path. It was somewhere along this inner journey that painting came back to me as if it were obvious that it should. And it has become my refuge, my sacred temple, and a place of reconnection with my soul, with my father, and with the universe. Little by little it stopped being a reflection of Dad’s absence and became instead a bridge to the inviible, a living bond enabling me to sense that nothing really disappears, but rather that everything changes and continues its existence in a different form.
As an extension of my artist’s path, I have taken training in colour therapy. Being very much a language of the soul, colour acts as a doorway to emotions, buried memories, and inner shifts. By revealing to us what is begging to be welcomed, understood, and transfomed, it opens up a path of awareness and of healing.
I also lead creative workshops for children, places of kindness and gentleness where creating becomes a means of expression, of freedom, and of connecting with oneself.
Nowadays, each of my works is an invitation to slow down, to feel, and to join with what is beyond us. My desire is that through matter, colours, and intuition, I might provide an opportunity for the viewer to rediscover his own light.
Artistic approach
Being self-taught, I have built up my methods by following my own path, free of any academic framework. My inspiration comes from animals, from Mother Earth, and from human beings, three realms that touch me deeply and nourish my way of looking at the world.
My paintings are born of ideas that emerge during meditations and dreams. They come to me in the form of pictures, words, or sensations that I let ripen until I feel they are ready to take form in matter.
The creative process always begins by a drawing. Once I’ve set an outline on the canvas, I listen to inner guidance telling me whether the composition is harmonious or still needs to evolve. Listening to my feelings is the compass that guides all my hand movements so that I remain faithful to the original emotion that gave rise to the work.
Each painting is the result of a dialogue between the initial vision, the material used, and my intuition. My desire is to produce works that are lively, sincere, and full of emotion; works that encourage the viewer to make their own connection with the subject portrayed there and let their own feelings come out.
Painting is for me a place of connection where the invisible becomes perceivable, where intuition is in dialogue with matter, and where every work opens a doorway to inner exploring.
