BIOGRAPHY

As a self-taught artist from Lausanne, I get my inspiration from worlds of fantasy, from the elegance of animals, and from the beauty of the Swiss mountains. Through acrylic paint and water colour, I give life to my own special figural universe.

By working both as an educator for small children and as a painter, I find balance between my two areas of passion. In the daycare centre I help children take their first steps and in my workshop I give free reign to my creativity. Art and painting have always been present in my daily life.

Artistic approach

At this time when artificial intelligence is taking up more and more room in our society, my desire is to show how important it is to retain art and creativity in our daily lives. Ever since it became possible to produce pictures in a few seconds, artists have felt threatened. I want to put a respect for handmade art back in the centre.

Each of my works is an open door to my inner world of sensitivity and dreams. One of my best-known artistic approaches is that of painting in the street. I set myself down somewhere with my easel and canvas and let passers-by discover the process of creating with paint by direct experience. This is my idea of how to show people the realities of the process of creating a painting. My aim is also to make passers-by think about the place of creativity in their daily lives and start wanting to follow their own creative bent and intuition. By letting my inner universe be seen, I hope to show that creativity has no limits. My works that are inspired by worlds of fantasy encourage viewers to keep a little space for daydreaming in their lives.
