BIOGRAPHIE

I was born in 1968 in Lausanne and from a very early age developed an instinctive love of art, with colours and shapes becoming my secret language for exploring the invisible. Fine Arts studies, however, were not to be for me, and my life’s path led me first through business training and a career in the stock market section of a private bank in Zurich.

At age twenty-four, spurred by a strong need for freedom, I treated myself to a sabbatical year and spent time in Colombia, in South America. What was meant to be simply a short break turned into an important inner shift after a near death experience in the Caribbean completely changed my perspective on life.

Strengthened by what had been reavealed to me, I decided to prolong my stay for another five years, during which time I contributed to the building of an eco-lodge in the heart of the rainforest and learned from the teachings of the native peoples, especially from the Kogis. My contact with this vibrant wilderness is what helped me reconnect with the forgotten wisdom of going back into oneself, listening with sensitivity, and healing.

Once back in Switzerland, I continued my quest through training and lessons in traditional Chinese medecine, in acupuncture, in energy harmonizing, and in painting by feeling. In 1999 I discovered oil painting, a revelation that led me in 2003 to open a workshop where I teach painting by feeling, while also working as a therapist.

Being diagnosed with Meniere’s disease forced me to reconsider my professional choices and this trial, in the end, became an opportunity to devote myself fully to my love of painting. Courses in an art school enabled me to perfect my technique and develop my own particular style.

Now well recognized for my work in abstract realism, I create vibrant and transformative paintings that build bridges between reality and imagination. My art, which is a harmonious fusion of realism and abstraction, has deep roots in feeling and is a visual expression of emotions and energies gathered all along my life’s path. Oil paint has become my favourite medium and I add to it with various other techniques in order to transorm my canvases into true visual sanctuaries.

Each of my works offers a unique emotional experience, inviting the viewer to contemplate the world not as it is, but as it could be: vibrating with beauty, grace, and hope. My work encourages the viewer to discouver his or her own inner strength and to look at his personal journey with optimism.

As I look to the future, my wish is to create works that provide comfort and encouragement, and to inspire collectors throughout the world. I want my work to radiate light and positiveness and reminding all those who encounter it that there is always a path towards joy and that magic is always close at hand.

Nowadays, I continue along my artistic path while at the same time guiding those who seek to reconnect with themselves through my paintings and teachings.

Artistic approach

I am an artist of abstract realism and my art is an introspective journey to the heart of being to celebrate that transformative magic that dwells in each and every one of us. This force enables us to evolve and grow and triumph over difficulties. Each painting shows us the possibilty of attaining  hope and blossoming through perseverence and faith in our dreams, thereby becoming a call to joy and to the attainment of our deepest aspirations. A dialogue between realism and dreamlike abstraction allows me to create vibrant and transformative works. Like constellations of stars, my paintings weave connections between tangible reality and realms of the imagination, creating a harmonious fusion where each person’s inner light can shine.

Art, for me, is love in movement! The creative process starts with apparent chaos that is progressively harmonised and so reflects life’s journey, which is disorderly in appearance but understood in the end as coherent. What evolves on the canvas echoes our own inner evolution in which all our experiences, even the turbulent ones, contribute to the unveiling of our true nature.

My idea is to create visual sanctuaries where viewers from all over the world can come and find renewal and inner strength. My work has been recognized for its ability to provide a glow of light in our seemingly turbulent world by helping people feel they are not alone. Each painting therefore becomes a promise of better days ahead and a reminder of the connection to the pure source that dwells within us.
