BIOGRAPHIE
Born in Verbania in 1984, I graduated in Architecture in Milan in 2011, the city where I currently live and work as a visual artist.
In 2017, during a trip to Japan, I discovered the ancient Japanese decorative technique of Suminagashi which influenced my style in the early years.
In 2018, a trip to Turkey enriched my path through a technical specialization in watercolour painting at the "Galatart-Ebru Atölyesi Art School" in Istanbul, which also influenced my style for the first few years. Crucial for my artistic path was the Ebru technique, an ancient pictorial practice that allows you to model shapes directly on water.
In 2019 I enrolled in the three-year painting course at the "Scuola Superiore d'Art Applied del Castello Sforzesco" in Milan.
From 2021 to 2024 I specialized in oil painting at the atelier of the master, Angelo Marco Salmoiraghi, an Italian figurative painter rooted in the classical realist tradition which began with the lessons of Max Doerner and Frederico von Rieger.
My work follows a path in which technical experimentation becomes the vehicle for an internal search in continuous evolution and exploration.
Artistic approach
Poetic
Painting, for me, is an inner place.
It is the way I give form to what cannot be spoken, to what inhabits a deep and silent space. Through colour, matter, and transparency, I move closer to a dreamlike world made of suspended images, symbols, and visions that arise from listening to myself.
This dreamlike dimension is, first of all, a personal and intimate expression, deeply connected to emotional experience and individual perception. At the same time, it opens onto a more ancient and ancestral dimension, a symbolic language that belongs to humanity as a whole, capable of transcending time, culture, and rational thought.
The figures, often female, emerge as presences beyond time, suspended between reality and imagination. They do not narrate defined stories, but rather evoke emotional states, deep memories, and inner tensions. The image does not seek to explain, but to suggest, leaving space for the viewer’s own sensitive experience.
Painting thus becomes a place of resonance, where individual interiority can transform into a shared experience, and the artistic gesture becomes a bridge between the personal and the universal.
